Christmas Bird Count

Each year between December 14 and January 5, the Christmas Bird Count is carried out in more than 1800 communities across Canada, the United States and Latin America.

Each group participating attempts to count all the birds within a 24 km diameter circle on the selected day.

And of course, at the end of this day there is the great get-together and camaraderie that is available at the pot-luck tally.
